Technical Specifications
Product Description
This is a genuine used original Temic mechatronics unit with part number 02E927770AQ for the 6-speed DSG DQ250 (02E) automatic transmission. The mechatronics assembly integrates the hydraulic control block, valve body, pressure sensors, gear-position sensors and solenoid valves into a single unit that manages all gear selection and hydraulic pressure regulation within the DQ250 gearbox.
What This Mechatronics Unit Does
- Controls hydraulic pressure for clutch engagement and gear shifting
- Manages solenoid valves responsible for selecting individual gears
- Monitors input and output shaft speeds for precise shift timing
- Regulates dual-clutch operation for smooth, fast gear transitions
- Communicates with the engine control unit and ABS/ESP modules
- Stores and executes learned adaptation values for optimised shift quality
Vehicle Compatibility
The 02E927770AQ is designed for vehicles equipped with the DQ250 (02E) 6-speed DSG transmission. Always verify the part number on your existing unit:

P0746– Pressure Regulator Valve 1: Short Circuit -
P0751– Shift Solenoid A: Performance / Stuck Off -
P0756– Shift Solenoid B: Performance / Stuck Off -
P0761– Shift Solenoid C: Performance / Stuck Off -
P0766– Shift Solenoid D: Performance / Stuck Off -
P1740– Clutch Temperature Monitoring -
P1746– Solenoid Power Supply Fault -
P2723– Pressure Regulator Valve 5: Short Circuit -
P2767– Input Speed Sensor: No Signal
Installation & Calibration
Installation Steps
- Drain DSG transmission fluid before removing the mechatronics unit
- Disconnect all electrical connectors and wiring harness from the unit
- Remove the mechatronics assembly from the transmission housing
- Clean the mating surfaces before fitting the replacement unit
- Install the new mechatronics and secure all fasteners to correct torque
- Reconnect all electrical connectors and refill with fresh DSG fluid
- Connect a VAG-compatible diagnostic tool and perform adaptation reset
- Carry out a full test drive and verify smooth gear changes across all gears
Why DSG Mechatronics Units Fail
1. Contaminated DSG Fluid
Old or degraded DSG fluid is the most common cause of mechatronics failure. Contaminated fluid blocks the fine hydraulic passages and solenoid valves inside the unit, leading to erratic shifting, slipping and complete transmission failure.
2. Solenoid Valve Wear
Individual solenoid valves within the mechatronics control hydraulic pressure for each gear. Over time these valves wear internally, causing pressure leaks that result in harsh gear changes, incorrect gear selection or loss of specific gears.
3. Electrical Connector Corrosion
Moisture ingress at the mechatronics wiring connector causes pin corrosion and intermittent electrical faults. This often presents as random fault codes, jerky shifts or the transmission entering emergency (limp) mode.
4. Neglected Service Intervals
The DQ250 requires DSG fluid and filter changes at regular intervals. Skipping these services accelerates wear across all internal components, including the mechatronics unit, solenoid valves and clutch packs.
- Replace DSG fluid and filter every 60,000 km
- Use only approved DSG fluid for the DQ250 transmission
- Inspect the mechatronics connector and wiring harness at each service
- Scan transmission module for fault codes if any shifting issues are noticed
Quality Assurance & Warranty
12-Month Warranty: This used mechatronics unit has been fully tested and is covered by a 12-month warranty against functional defects under normal operating conditions.
Warranty Coverage Includes:
- Electronic control unit malfunctions
